Uninstalling an Application Package with Mathematica 4

1.

Quit Mathematica if it is running, and make sure no other users are running Mathematica.

2.

Locate the application package directory and remove it using the rm -r command. You may need to have sudo privileges to do this.

The following command line illustrates this procedure for an application package located in the default installation directory.

# rm -r /usr/local/mathematica/AddOns/Applications/application

3.

After the application package has been uninstalled, start Mathematica and rebuild the Help Index by choosing Help > Rebuild Help Index.
