Why can't I uninstall the Scientific Astronomer palettes in Mathematica 4.0 using the buttons in the Help Browser?

In the documentation for Scientific Astronomer, there are Install and Uninstall buttons that are intended to install the Scientific Astronomer palettes into the File > Palettes menu.

These buttons are located in the following locations in the Help Browser at the bottom of the page.

Add-ons → Scientific Astronomer → Palettes → Microsoft Windows
Add-ons → Scientific Astronomer → Palettes → Macintosh
Add-ons → Scientific Astronomer → Palettes → Unix

Selecting these buttons will have no effect when using Mathematica 4.0. These buttons will only work for users running Mathematica 3. With Mathematica 3, it was necessary to install these palettes in this manner. However, when installing Scientific Astronomer with Mathematica 4.0, the palettes automatically appear in the File > Palettes menu.

If you want to uninstall one of these palettes, it will be necessary for you to remove the palette from the following location.

Windows
$TopDirectory\AddOns\Applications\Astronomer\FrontEnd\Palettes
Macintosh Classic
$TopDirectory:AddOns:Applications:Astronomer:FrontEnd:Palettes
Unix
$TopDirectory/AddOns/Applications/Astronomer/FrontEnd/Palettes
