What are the and subdirectories of $AddOnsDirectory and $UserAddOnsDirectory?
Application packages can be installed in either the (the default installation location) or subdirectory of $AddOnsDirectory or $UserAddOnsDirectory. Application packages installed in the subdirectory are automatically loaded when you start Mathematica. Application packages installed in the subdirectory can be loaded manually when needed. To autoload any application package, move the application package folder from the subdirectory to the subdirectory of either $AddOnsDirectory or $UserAddOnsDirectory. If you move any application package directories to the subdirectory of either $AddOnsDirectory or $UserAddOnsDirectory, those directories will need to be removed manually when you uninstall the application package. For more information on uninstalling application packages, see Application Package Installation Information Request Form. Download this FAQ as a Mathematica 5.2 Notebook
