In order to use SystemModeler, you need to have a C++ compiler installed, and SystemModeler must be able to access it. The supported compilers for Linux are:

  • GCC (recommended)
  • Clang

On Ubuntu and some other Linux distributions, GCC can be installed by running:

sudo apt-get install gcc
  1. Make sure the C++ compiler of your choice is installed.
  2. Start SystemModeler. SystemModeler will detect the compiler and choose it as the default. You may want to verify that SystemModeler succeeded.
  3.
If the compiler was not detected, please try setting it up manually.
