Where is my mathpass file located?

In recent versions of Mathematica (Version 3.0 - Version 6.0), the mathpass file can be in one of two locations. Mathematica will check both files for valid passwords. The locations that follow use the default installation directories. The locations on your system may differ.

Mathematica 6.0

In Mathematica 6.0, the mathpass file can be found in the following locations.

Windows Vista

•	C:\Program Files\Wolfram Research\Mathematica\6.0\Configuration\Licensing\mathpass

•	C:\ProgramData\Mathematica\Licensing\mathpass (Please note that there is no C:\ProgramData\AllUsers\.)

•	C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mathematica\Licensing\mathpass

Windows XP and 2000

•	C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Mathematica\Licensing\mathpass

•	C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mathematica\Licensing\mathpass
