Is Mathematica IPv6 compliant?

Here are answers to a common survey we often receive about IPv6 with respect to Mathematica.

1. Software name:
Mathematica
2. Software manufacturer or developer:
Wolfram Research, Inc.
3. Software description (brief):
A technical computing system.
4. Are there IPv6 dependencies? If not, please provide non-dependent version range.
No IPv6 dependencies exist in Versions 1.0 through 6.0 (current shipping version).
5. If dependencies, is IPv6 enabled? If yes, please provide enabled version range.
IPv6 is not enabled.
6. If not enabled, when will an enabled version be available? Please provide enabled version range.
We are in the process of enabling IPv6 in our products, with an estimated completion of mid year.
7. Does software use a license daemon? If yes, which one [FlexLM, ELAN, proprietary]?
Yes, we use our own proprietary licensing daemon called MathLM when Mathematica is licensed in a network configuration to sites wishing to install and use multiple copies of Mathematica. Otherwise, Mathematica is licensed individually and does not need to use MathLM.
