How do I resolve the FontStruct error when running Mathematica or Motif on a remote DEC?

Under XWindows, fonts must be stored on the local machine which displays applications, not the remote machine running the application. If your XServer does not have a copy of the system fonts for DEC (specifically the Menu font) then you will get the following error.

Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-Menu-Medium-R-Normal--*-120-*-*-P-*-ISO8859-1" to type FontStruct

Currently, there are no known problems with missing DEC fonts when running Mathematica. To remove the error message, download the DEC fonts to your local computer and install the fonts according to your Xserver documentation.
