Why does my Solaris X server crash when I try to display Mathematica on a remote HP-UX machine?

This occasionally happens when trying to display Mathematica on a UNIX machine that is different than the machine running Mathematica remotely. Most X servers can communicate amongst each other, but problems such as incompatibility between `-dt-interface...' fonts on different CDE machines can cause this behavior.

These are limitations in X server communications that become visible when an application such as Mathematica is run. It is not a limitation in Mathematica.
