How do I uninstall Mathematica completely from a Linux/Unix system?

You can delete Mathematica from your system by removing the following files and directories.

1.

The Mathematica installation directory (typically /usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/x.n where x.n is your Mathematica version number).

2.

The mathematica, math, and mcc scripts (typically in (/usr/local/bin/).

3.

The Mathematica preferences directory (~/.Mathematica).

4.

The Mathematica $BaseDirectory (/usr/share/Mathematica).
