Is Mathematica working?

Before you begin to install all of the necessary components of webMathematica, it is recommended that you verify that Mathematica is working properly.

The kernel can be launched by typing the following in the Windows Run dialog that can be accessed through Start > Run on all Windows machines.

C:\Progra~1\Wolfra~1\Mathem~1\4.1\MathKernel.exe

The result should look something like:

Mathematica 4.1 for Microsoft Windows

 -- Terminal graphics initialized --
