How do I run the SystemModeler installer in verbose mode?

On Windows, you can run the SystemModeler installer in a verbose mode. This writes a log file of the installation that you can use to debug installation issues.

You must run the installer in this special mode using the command prompt. Open up the command prompt on Windows and change the directory to where the installer is located. Then run:

installer.exe /lvx* install.log

Here, installer.exe is the name of the SystemModeler installer executable. The file install.log is the installation log that is created.

The install log is a simple text file that you can read with any text editor. If you have trouble installing SystemModeler, please contact Wolfram Technical Support with the log file and a description of your installation problem.
