How do I ensure only authorized users receive activation keys and passwords?
Single Sign-On (SSO) Wolfram Sites
Your organization’s SSO authorization system will automatically control who has access to Wolfram products through your site license. Please contact your Wolfram representative or your authorized reseller to configure the authorized user affiliations under your SSO site.
Standard Wolfram Sites
Your site license’s Activation Key and Password Authorization setting will allow you to control who is issued activation keys and passwords and when requests will require Site Administrator approval. There are four options:
- Never Approved by Site Admin + Restricted Email: Any activation keys and passwords requested by users with an authorized email address will be processed automatically. Requests from “non-authorized” users will not be allowed.
- Non-Authorized Email = Approved by Site Admin: Any activation keys and passwords requested by users with an authorized email address will be processed automatically. Requests from “non-authorized” users will be sent to the Site Administrator(s) for approval, and a temporary key will be issued until approved.
- Always Approved by Site Admin + Any Email: All user-requested activation keys and passwords will be sent to the Site Administrator(s) for approval. Users can submit a request using either an authorized or non-authorized email address, and will be issued a temporary key until approved.
- Always Approved by Site Admin + Restricted Email: All user-requested activation keys and passwords will be sent to the Site Administrator(s) for approval. Users must enter an authorized email address to submit the request, and will be issued a temporary key until approved. Requests from “non-authorized” users will not be allowed.
If you choose to restrict access to activation keys and passwords to “authorized” individuals, their requests will only be automatically approved if they are using an email address ending with the domain name(s) you have specified. This applies to activation key and password requests submitted through the following methods:
- Your organization’s Wolfram Activation Key Request Form
- Directly, through Wolfram Research Customer Service or a local Wolfram representative
Your organization’s Activation Key and Password Authorization setting may be updated through the Wolfram User Portal.
