When will my Wolfram Cloud files expire?

Wolfram Cloud offers paid subscription plans for Wolfram|One, Mathematica Online and Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition, as well as a free Cloud Basic subscription.

With any paid subscription plan, all files stored in the Wolfram Cloud never expire.

With a free Cloud Basic plan, any files will expire 60 days after their creation. To prevent this, we recommend upgrading to a paid Wolfram Cloud subscription plan such as Wolfram|One or Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition.

For users who downgrade to Cloud Basic from a paid account, the files will expire 60 days after the change in plan was made.

When files expire, they will still be visible in the account, but will not be accessible. Expired files will still count towards limits on cloud storage. Expired files can be deleted from the account.

Users who upgrade to a paid Wolfram Cloud subscription from Cloud Basic will be able to recover any previously expired files, but not any deleted files.
