The Input Assistant features in Wolfram products help users write Wolfram Language programs, for example by offering completions while typing symbol or function names.

You can disable these features by setting the ShowCodeAssist option:

  1. Open the Option Inspector by going to Format ► Option Inspector.

    The Option Inspector window appears.
  2. Select Global Preferences in the “Show option values” drop-down menu at the top of the window.
  3. Type “ShowCodeAssist” in the Lookup field.
  4. Change the option setting for ShowCodeAssist to False.
  5. Click Apply.

This disables the Input Assistant for all Mathematica notebooks.
