Can I use Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition without an internet connection?
Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition requires an internet connection for essential functionality, such as logging in at startup and evaluating natural language input.
Note that before Wolfram Language computations are performed locally on your machine, any natural language input is first parsed on Wolfram|Alpha servers.
Without an internet connection, error messages like the following may appear:
