How do I find my MachineID with my Wolfram product?

Your MachineID is a unique identification code for your computer used to tie your license information to your specific machine.
To generate the MachineID associated with your machine, you need to have the Wolfram application installed.
Finding Your MachineID Before or While Activating Your Wolfram Product
The MachineID can be displayed while activating your Wolfram product.
- Start the Wolfram application on your machine.
- Select “Other ways to activate”.
- Select “Activate offline through an activation key and requested password”.
The MachineID appears in the last line of the paragraph beginning with “Step 1”.
Finding the MachineID inside Your Wolfram Product after Activating
Evaluate the following in a notebook or in a Wolfram Language Kernel session to get the MachineID for that machine.
$MachineID
Finding the MachineID outside the Wolfram Application after Activating
The MachineID is stored in a text file named mathpass, along with other licensing information. Locate the mathpass file and read the MachineID from its contents.
