Wolfram Computation Meets Knowledge

What Mathematica download and installation alternatives do I have?

In your Wolfram User Portal on the My Products and Services tab, you can find the download links for installing your products on Windows, macOS or supported Linux platforms. You can either use the Wolfram Download Manager to download the product installers (recommended) or download the installers directly.

For Windows and macOS, you can choose to install the product together with its in-product documentation (recommended), the product without the documentation (if you prefer to save space on your hard drive) or just the product documentation by itself (if you decide to add the documentation later on).

For Linux, you can use the Mathematica installer to install the product together with its in-product documentation.

Standard Download (Windows and macOS only)

  1. Go to the Mathematica product page in your Wolfram User Portal.
  2. Click the link for your operating system in the “Mathematica + Documentation” line and “Standard Download” column. This downloads the Wolfram Download Manager for both the Mathematica core product and the product documentation.
  3. Start the Wolfram Download Manager executable.
  4. Follow its instructions to finish the download.
  • Alternatively, for your operating system, you can select the Download Manager for the Mathematica core product in the “Mathematica (Web Documentation Only)” line to install Mathematica without local documentation or the Documentation Download Manager in the “Documentation Only (English)” line to install the product documentation without Mathematica.
  • Direct File Download

  • Go to the Mathematica product page in your Wolfram User Portal.
  • For Linux, click the Linux link in the “Mathematica + Documentation” line and “Direct File Download” column. This downloads the Mathematica installer for both the Mathematica core product and the product documentation.
  • For Windows and macOS, you can either download the Mathematica installer without local documentation by clicking the corresponding link in the “Mathematica (Web Documentation Only)” line or the Documentation installer without the core product by clicking the corresponding link in the “Documentation Only (English)” line.
